Dog show - Classes and their definition

Clase Cachorros (C.C.): Para los ejemplares de entre 5 y 9 meses de edad. en España, la máxima calificación es de «muy bueno»

Junior Class (CJ): For those specimens that are more than 9 months and less than 18. Those enrolled in this class may not do so simultaneously in open class or in champion class, that is, of the from 15 to 18 months, they can enroll in youth or open, but not both. In Spain, the highest rating is «excellent»

Intermediate Class (C.I.): Dogs over 15 months and under 24. Those who are champions in other countries and want to apply for the title of Country Champion can register. In this class the national C.A.C is put into competition. Those enrolled in Champion Class, Open Class, Work Class or Youth Class cannot participate. The maximum rating is Excellent

Open Class (C.A.): Dogs older than 15 months. Those who are champions in other countries and want to apply for the title of Champion of the country can register. In this class the national C.A.C is put into competition, and the winner will compete with those registered in the champion class for the C.A.C.I.B.

Work Class (C.T.): For specimens older than 15 months, subject to this heading and who are provided with a work card, for having carried out an R.C.I. test on Utility Dogs. or R.A.C.E. with the rating of at least VERY GOOD and / or Hunting Dogs to have obtained the rating of VERY GOOD in an official test.

Champion Class (C: CH.): For dogs that have the Title of Champion of Spain or a foreign country - upon justification - and that want to opt for the C.A.C.I.B. Copies enrolled in this class may not enroll in open class or youth class.

Veterans Class (C.V.): For specimens older than 8 years. With no option to any other prize than that from a special BEST IN SHOW for those enrolled in this class.

Couples Class (C.P.): Male and female of the same race and variety and from the same owner. In order to compete in this class, both horses must be registered in one of the previously described.

Breeding Class (C.Cr.): For groups of three or more specimens of the same breed or variety, without distinction of sex, of the same breeder, even if they are not their property at the time of the exhibition. In order to compete in this Class, the specimens that comprise the breeding lot must be individually enrolled in one of the Classes in sections a), b), c), d) and e).

Best of Breed: Among the best male and best female of each class who have obtained an Excellent 1st , the best of breed will be chosen, who will compete for the best of group , and later, whoever wins the group will compete for the Best in Show . The absolute best of breed will be chosen from the junior, middle, open and champion class winners
